Macaroni
Salad
by Margaret Driggs
1 lb. elbow macaroni
Celery seed
Mustard seed
1 celery stalk
1 green pepper
1 Onion
1 cucumber
Miracle Whip
Milk
Mustard
Sweet Relish
Salad Dressing:
Add 1/2 jar of Miracle Whip salad dressing (Mom always used a big jar of Miracle
Whip but she made the dressing in a quart size jar, what I usually do is add enough
Miracle Whip to fill 1/2 a quart size jar) sugar to taste, teaspoon of mustard
(also to taste), add 1/2 to 1/3 cup of Milk, add celery seed, mustard seed, (I
also add celery flakes just for added flavor), and stir/shake
Cook macaroni, drain, and pour cold water over. 1 lb will make A LOT of salad.
Dice 1 cucumber, 1 onion, 1 celery stalk, and 1 pepper.
Mix macaroni, and diced vegetables together in a large bowl (usually this will
take a very large bowl or 2), 1 spoon relish, and salad dressing.
Refrigerate.
The next day the salad will be dry. Mix together enough salad dressing to add
more the second day.
